Intended use
Auniry Coloured contact lenses are indicated for the optical correction of refractive ametropia (myopia and hyperopia) with non-diseased eyes. And the device also acts to enhance or alter the apparent colour of the eye.
Contraindications
Do not use contact lenses when any of the following exists:
- Inflammation or infection of the anterior chamber of the eye.
- Active disease, injury or abnormality affecting the cornea, conjunctiva, or eyelids.
- Active corneal infection.
- Microbial infection of the eye.
- Insufficiency of lachrymal secretion (dry eye) that interferes with contact lens wear.
- Corneal hypoesthesia (corneal sensitivity).
- Any systemic disease.
- Allergic reactions or ocular irritation.
- Allergy to an ingredient in a solution.
- If eyes become red or irritated.
Warning
Users should be advised of the following warnings pertaining to contact lens wear:
- Problems with contact lenses could be result in serious injury to the eye. It is essential that users follow their eye care professionals direction and all labeling instructions for proper use of their lenses. Eye problem can develop rapidly and lead to loss of vision.
- Daily wear lenses are not indicated for overnight wear, and users should be instructed not to wear their lenses while sleeping.
- If a user experiences eye discomfort, excessive tearing, vision changes, redness of the eye, or other problems they should be instructed to immediately remove their lenses and promptly contact their eye care professional.
It is recommended that contact lens wearers see their eye care professional regularly as directed.
Precautions
Before use
Before buying new lens, always look at the lens carefully to identify whether there is any damage in packaging. Immediately wash contact lens after removing. Have all necessary contact lens care accessories (ex: lens case, wash solution) available. Prevent other cosmetics, hair spray, soap and other chemicals from coming in contact with the contact lens. In washing contact lens, please use the exclusive wash solution. In case eye problems arise during the course of use immediately consult an eye doctor. Don't use if seal is broken. Don't use prescriptions medications (ex: ophthalmic drops) when contact lens is in use.
Handling contact lenses
To avoid impurities to the contact lens, always wash hands before attempting to put contact lens. Cut finger nails to prevent scarring of the contact lens. Never use tweezers or other sharp objects such as fingernails to remove lenses from the lens container. Before handling, don't apply cream or lotion onto your hands. Make sure contact lens comes to the correct eye (left contact lens for the left eye and right contact lens for the right eye). Identify whether the lens is upside down or not.
Recommendations for use
If this is your first time wearing contact lenses, you should slowly increase the time you wear the lenses each day. Do not wear the lenses for more than 4 hours on the first day, increasing the wearing time by 2 hours with each coming day. Cosmetic lenses should never be worn for more than 10 hours at a time.
Lens wearing
Lenses are meant to be replaced as shown on the package box. When you exceed in wearing these lenses more than the period as shown on the package box, the debris can be collected in you lenses, and this debris will cause discomfort to your eye. By replacing the lenses as shown on the package box, you can always enjoy a fresh and comfortable wearing of contact lenses. For wearing schedule, always follow your eye care practitioner advice. The lens should move freely on the eye at all times. The eye care professional should be consulted about wearing lenses during water sports and water related activities. Exposure to water while wearing contact lenses in activities such as swimming, water skiing, and hot tubs may increase the risk of ocular infection. Environmental fumes, smoke, and vapors should be avoided. Do not use lenses beyond the expiration date. Do not let the hair spray or other cosmetic aerosols come in contact with our lenses. Do not lend your lenses to anyone, they are only for one user at a time. Remove your lenses before you go to bed. Insert your lenses before putting makeup on. Remove your lenses before taking your makeup off. If your eyes get red and irritated or if you feel any discomfort or pain, remove your lenses and contact with your eyecare practitioner. Remember regular check-ups and always follow the advise of your eyecare practitioner.
How to Use
Insertion
- Make sure your contact lenses are in perfect condition. Make it a habit of handling the right lens first which will prevent your from missing up lenses.
- Place the lens on your index finger. Check that the lens is clean and the right side is up like picture.
- Hold your upper lid open with your left hand's index and middle finger. At the same time hold your lower lid open with the middle finger of your right hand. Looking straight at your eye in the mirror, slowly and gently place the lens on your eye. Then carefully release your eyelids and blink. You can gently massage your eyelid to center the lens
Removal
Look up and hold lower lid down. Pull the lens downward gently with your index finger and your thumb. Pinch the edge of the lens and remove it from your eye.
Disinfection
Before inserting the lens after removing it from the eye, always rinse with contact lens solution suggested by your practitioner. After wearing your lenses, store them in contact lens case filled with fresh contact lens solution. If you wear your lenses infrequently, change the contact lens solution once a week.
Care for a sticking lens
If the lens sticks (stop moving) or begins to dry on the eye, instruct the user to apply several drops of a recommended contact lens solution. The user should wait until the lens begins to move freely on the eye before attempting to remove it. If the lens continues to stick, the user should immediately consult the eye care professional.
Emergencies
The user should be informed that if chemicals of any kind are splashed into the eyes, the user should: Flush eyes immediately with fresh saline solution or contact lens solution, remove the lenses and place them in the recommended storage solution, and call or visit the eye care professional or a hospital.
